When we talk of weight loss, all of us picture ourselves standing on a weighing machine having lost a tonne of weight. There’s only one thing wrong with this picturisation. The fact that it is too rosy to ever be true. Although we wish that we reduced a dozen kilograms overnight, it never happens unless you’re horribly sick (in which case, please visit a doctor as soon as possible), and that is not something to be happy about.

When we embark on a journey reduce weight, all of us want to see immediate results. So after every workout or after taking the very first diet pill like Phen375, we tend to make a beeline to the weighing machine and check our weight. Although it is not a bad habit, what it does is discourage us when there is no visible difference in weight between today and yesterday.

At times like these, it is necessary that we take a step back, and look at things from a different perspective.

You might have been crunching hard (the exercise, not on food, stop thinking about fried food for now) but you might see no difference in weight (especially if you are going to check everyday, even the difference will be gradual enough for you to ignore it if it stares you in the face). It is at times like these that the measuring tape comes in handy. You might have converted all of that fat into muscle probably why it didn’t show on your scales. However, this will definitely not go unnoticed if you use a measuring tape.

Even while using the tape, it is necessary that you do not expect too much and get disappointed later on. Just keep doing your daily routine of exercises and check the results twice a month or so. You will definitely notice a difference in the way you look and feel.

In a nutshell, both of these work fine. But you need to give yourself a good amount of time before checking for differences, as results are never instantaneous. They take time, and you need to have the patience to keep going until then.

If neither of these things work, then you better wait for a family gathering, and if you keep eating your pills and working out, more than a relative or two will comment on how much thinner you’ve become, since the last time they saw you.
